Anti-plagiarism Policy

The editorial office of the Ukrainian Journal of Medicine, Biology and Sports draws the authors' attention to their full responsibility for the correct use of other researchers' findings and adherence to the standards of academic citation.

Authors must guarantee:

• the originality of the submitted materials, which have not been previously published in any other publications in any language;
• the absence of plagiarism;
• correct citation of sources when using the work of other authors.

To prevent plagiarism, the editorial office takes the following measures:

• checking the article for the presence of foreign ideas without proper source attribution;
• assessment of the level of plagiarism during the review of material using iThenticate software.

Any manifestations of plagiarism are unacceptable and considered a breach of ethics. Manuscripts submitted for review are checked for originality based on the following criteria: if the text contains more than 85% originality, the article is accepted for review; 75 to 85% originality – the author must verify the correct citation formatting; if the originality is below 75%, the material will not be considered. Plagiarism from a single source should not exceed 3%.
